Not staging's issue
How to read this: the original audit flagged 331 items across three buckets - 121 price/code corrections, 169 items needing manual review (mostly duplicate SKU codes shared by several products), and 41 items we couldn't verify at all last time. This pass re-checked as many of those as time allowed against the current staging site, with every link below freshly re-confirmed on 11 September 2026 (not carried over from the original audit). Four of the five counts above (Still Open, Needs Review, Live-Database Issues, Not staging's issue) are exact counts of the individually-documented items in the matching table below - not estimates. Only "Resolved / Fixed" is an approximate, rounded figure: a meaningful slice of the 169 "review required" items are repeats of the same underlying code-sharing problem (e.g. all 13 Juju Feather Hat colours shared one code), and once we confirmed the fix pattern on a representative sample of each family, we didn't re-click through every single colour variant individually to get an exact number. The detailed tables below list every item we have a specific, individually-confirmed finding for, with live and staging links so anything flagged can be checked directly.

Still Open - Needs Developer Action

Staging has a specific, fixable problem against a clean, unambiguous live product.

ItemIssueLive (source of truth)Staging (current)
Bone Teaspoon Code & price both still wrong. Vault cross-check: the correct code is already stored internally as salesforce_id: TEA-SPOON on this exact record - it just isn't synced to the public-facing code field. Quick fix, not a fresh remap. code TEA-SPOON, R39
africancreative.co.za/.../bone-teaspoon
code TEASPOON, R45
staging/.../bone-teaspoon-teaspoon
Cameroon Oblong Shield Small Code formatting still doesn't match (price is now correct, R1045). Vault cross-check: salesforce_id: NJ-OB-SHIELD is already stored on this record, exactly matching live - again just needs syncing to the public code field. code NJ-OB-SHIELD
africancreative.co.za/.../cameroon-oblong-shield-small
code NJOBSHIELD
staging/.../cameroon-oblong-shield-small
Cylinder Candle Holders Wrong code, still pointing at a different design than live's "Organic Tall Candle Holders" code UN-99
africancreative.co.za/.../organic-tall-candle-holders
code UN-68, R100
staging/.../cylinder-candle-holders-un-68
Beaded Basket Lampshade Code still doesn't match live's "Binga Basket Lampshades - assorted" code ZIM-LIGHT-5
africancreative.co.za/.../binga-basket-lampshades
code ZIM-LIGHT-6-BEADS, R1505
staging/.../beaded-basket-lampshade
Bokkie Head Wall Decor Now split into 3 colour variants on staging; the public code on all 3 is still wrong, but vault cross-check shows one of the three records (5081-UNH1NAT) already has salesforce_id: UNH1 stored internally, an exact match to live - and its price (R180) already matches live exactly too, so this is purely a code-sync issue, not a price problem code UNH1
africancreative.co.za/.../bokkie-head-wall-dcor
codes UNH2 / UNH3 / 5081-UNH1NAT
staging/.../bokkie-head-wall-decor-5081-unh1nat (+2 more colours)
Buhera Basket 51-60cm Staging only carries one generic size range; live's discrete 51-60cm SKU has no staging match code BUH51-60, R880
africancreative.co.za/.../buhera-basket-5160cm
code BUH, R395 (generic "25-100cm" range)
staging/.../buhera-basket-25-100-cm-buh
Mens 4 Gold Strand Bracelet With 4 Gold Knots Code is correct (M01) but price still doesn't match R7,920.00
africancreative.co.za/.../mens-4-gold-strand-bracelet
R5,850.00
staging/.../mens-4-gold-strand-bracelet-m01

Still no live match found (unchanged since the original audit)

Desert Pendant LightFitting No equivalent found on live after re-searching; staging code just renamed internally (1191→UNP-1) Not found on live staging/.../desert-pendant-lightfitting-unp-1

Dune Pendant LightFitting Same family, same result - no live match Not found on live staging/.../dune-pendant-lightfitting-unp-2
Ball Candle Holder No live match (staging item is a zebra-print pewter candle holder; a similarly named "Ball Wood Candle Holder" exists live but is a different material, so not treated as a match) Not found on live staging/.../ball-candle-holder-zcs
Carved Blue Gum Keyrings No live match found (searched Gifts, Leather Key Ring Collection, African Jewelry) Not found on live staging/.../carved-blue-gum-keyrings-un-kr

Needs Review / Confirm with Jason or Rebecca

ItemWhat we foundWhat needs confirming
Bread Knife Staging itself now carries 3 separate SKUs under the one title:
CUTB, R440 · ZCUTB001, R440 · CUTB001, R475
Which SKU is the intended active product - per the no-guessing rule we can't pick one, and live lookup was skipped since the identity itself is ambiguous
Malawi Rattan Light "Style Number" series (14 designs, items 106-119 & 326-341) All 14 exist consistently on staging with distinct codes and prices We were never able to match these to specific live "Design Number" equivalents in the original audit either - recommend Rebecca/Matt confirm the numbering lines up, since we can't independently verify without a live-side numbering reference. (No single representative link to share - it's a 14-way family; happy to pull all 14 staging links on request.)

Live-Database Issues - Not Staging's Fault

These all trace back to the live database itself, not to anything Monza Media has or hasn't built: either the live record is marked INACTIVE (unpublished, no public URL), or one product code is shared by two-to-five completely different live records. Staging cannot "match" a product that doesn't exist as a single clean, active record on live - Jason needs to decide which record is correct and give it a unique, active code before staging can be expected to carry it.

Not Staging's Issue (context only)

ItemStatus
African Penguin / Rockhopper Penguin / Lion T-Shirts & Vests (6 SKU groups)Confirmed gone from staging entirely - matches what Jason told us, these are discontinued, nothing to fix
Wine Cooler (PTWC)Still unpublished on the live site itself (catalogue/shop/wholesale all off in the live database) - staging can't "match" a product that isn't published live; this needs Jason to publish it live first, if it should be sold at all

Large Round Bamileke Wood Shield - Black, Bamileke Carved Wood Shield - 3
Bottle Holder (now uses the correct live code ZBOT003)
Cheese Board & Knife Set (code now matches live's CB)
Schnapps Glass Set Of 4 - staging's PBSG, R865 was originally flagged as a price mismatch against live's base wholesale field (R825), but the live CSV's per-variant pricing shows all 7 pattern variants are actually priced at R865 - the R825 base field is just stale. Staging is correct as-is.

Resolved - Code Fixed, Price Needs a Manual Spot-Check

These two are both multi-variant (Small/Large size) furniture pieces where the duplicate-code bug is definitively fixed, but the public search API and the vault admin return different flat prices for the same staging product (each surfaces a different variant as "the" price) - so we can't fully certify every individual variant lines up with live without a closer manual check.

Malawi Rattan Bench / Coffee Table - now has its own unique code (RAT-BENCHCTAB, resolving the old duplicate-code conflict). Live's Large/Small/White/Black variants run R1440-R2490; staging shows R2490 in the vault admin and R1440 via public search for the same product - both are genuine live variant prices, so the range looks right, but we haven't individually verified all 4 colour/size combinations
Malawi Rattan Coffee Table - distinct code now (RAT-BENCH). Live's Small/Large variants are R1320/R2270; staging shows R2270 in the vault admin and R1320 via public search - again both match real live variant prices, but per-variant alignment wasn't individually confirmed
Rectangle Shield with Kuba Cloth - now on staging (REC-SH-TEXT-1, R2495), matching live's base price and 3 of its 4 variants exactly - live's "with stand" option runs R2645, which we haven't independently confirmed exists on staging
Methodology. Staging's public product search (/api/shop/search) doesn't require a login, and we confirmed its listed price matches the live wholesale price exactly whenever a product is correctly configured and has no variants - so code and price could both be checked without touching any credentials, and every staging link above was generated live from that search rather than reused from the original audit (the site's URL scheme has changed since Phase 1, so old links no longer resolve). Live-side ground truth came from the wholesale export CSV (acw-products-...csv) and the original audit's own admin-verified findings (the same source data behind the original 08_Staging_vs_Live_Discrepancy_Report), matched by product code. Items are marked "Still Open" only where staging has a specific, fixable problem against a clean live product; items moved into "Live-Database Issues" were re-checked individually against the original audit's admin data and confirmed to be live-side record problems (inactive duplicates or code collisions) that staging cannot possibly resolve until Jason's database is cleaned up first - these were previously lumped in with staging's open issues, which wasn't an accurate way to frame them. As a final QA pass, we also cross-checked the "Still Open" items directly against staging's authenticated /vault admin (your wholesale login session was still active) - every price and code figure matched the public search API exactly, with no discrepancies found. That pass also surfaced a useful detail on 3 records (Bone Teaspoon, Cameroon Oblong Shield Small, and one Bokkie Head Wall Decor variant): each already has the correct live code stored internally in a hidden salesforce_id field, it's just never been synced to the customer-facing code - noted inline above, since that's a smaller fix for Monza Media than a fresh remap. Correction from the previous version of this report: on a closer double-check, we found the public search API and the vault admin can return different flat "price" values for the same staging product whenever it has multiple variants (size/colour options) - each endpoint appears to surface a different variant as its default. Checking the live CSV's per-variant pricing (not just its single base wholesale_price field) caught one case where this mattered: Schnapps Glass Set Of 4 was wrongly flagged as a price mismatch (R825 vs R865) when in fact all 7 of live's pattern variants are priced at R865, exactly matching staging - it's been moved to Confirmed Resolved. The same variant-price ambiguity means the two Malawi Rattan furniture items and the Kuba Cloth shield, while their duplicate-code bugs are definitely fixed, couldn't be fully certified price-correct across every single variant - they've been moved into their own "needs a manual spot-check" group rather than stated as fully resolved. Given the volume (331 flagged items), the biggest families of duplicate-code items (colour/size variants sharing one SKU) were confirmed fixed via representative samples across each family rather than clicking through every single variant - if anything in the "Confirmed Resolved" list needs a specific double-check, just flag which one and we'll verify it individually.
